Finally pick up my allroad
I just purchased a 2002 allroad with only 9500 miles on it last night. It's been waiting for me for over 3 months. When I first test drove it back in november till now.
It's been sitting in his garage and it was filled with soooo much dust and filth on the outside.
The car runs great. I've been monitoring this board for some time now. I used to have a 2003 A4 1.8tqm with Stratmosphere DV, EVO intake, GIAC chip, and this car stock blows it away.
I was reading a lot about TBB issues with our allroads. I also heard that the problem has been resolved in the later years. Is this true and if so, what years are not affected anymore?
My first mods I plan to do is the Stratmosphere DVs. I've had a great experience with them in my b6 a4. then I probably will go with the AWE-Tuning S-flow intake. Then go with the chip.
DOes that order sound about right?
If I do have to change my TBB, I'll do that first of course. Who should I goto to buy an aftermarket TBB that wont fall off? or does that have to do with the clamps?
I will post picks after I wash my car. I tried to wash it this morning before work, but the hoses were frozen. =(.

I went with and AMS TBB and hyperboost dv's...mostly for peace of mind........
the AMS came with better clamps. I've heard mixed reviews of the AWE-Tuning S-flow intake....I would do sway bars and brakes if you intend to drive hard. I went with H-sports and stoptechs. Better tires and 402 mod should be on your list as well, tip or stick?.....have fun!

Very few TBB problems on allroads. And why postpone getting the chip?
Just get it first. It is by far the best bang for your buck regardless of what other mods you do. Maybe do the BPVs to handle the extra boost, but just throw in some 710N's for cheap and put the money toward the chip.
