My stereo Install.
I finaly put a new stereo in my car sence I decided to keep it. I installed a JVC KD-SX990 reciver cd/mp3. Pioneer 4" in the dash and Pioneer 5.25" in the rear doors. I also put a blaupunkt 10" sub in a sealed Qlogic box, with a 650watt Lanzar amp. It sounds much better than stock. I rewired the speakers, and the only place you can see wires is where the wires come out of the carpet for the amp in the trunk. looks nice, I just finished my install about a week ago, alpine cda-9805 cd player, Infinity Kappas in all corners (sound amazing, way better than stock and better than alot of other more expensive aftermarket speakers) and then a 15" adire audio tempest with 250 watt US accoustics amp in a 3.5 cubic foot custom built box by me(good bye trunk...).

I opted for a 12" sub. Big enough to make an audiable presence, but not nearly as heavy as dual 12's or one 15 could be. I figure if you shell out the extra coin, you can buy 10's and 12's which perform as good or better than any 15. Not to knock 15's, I myself have 2 Orions, but they have their time and place (namely NOT in psuedo sports cars.)
I got a Rockford trunk (i.e. sub & amp, which is a 300s -Pilot like remote punch bass-), A/D/S doors & dash (comprised of 5.25" & 4" 3-series components) which are powered by a 4ch PQ450 A/D/S amp (also in trunk) and then the Alpine 7893 up front. I really like the system. Cost a pretty penny, and took quite a while to assemble all the parts. But for an audiophile who likes to crank Maiden it's well worth it.

"Green" coolant is stock on most older Audis (until 97/98 when they switched...
...the the newer "pink" coolant (G12).
Although as long as your completly flush the system you can use the newer coolant in older Audis.
