getting frustrated with this 20V!!!! (drivability issues)
the symptom: car runs PERFECTLY when its cold.....has ALL its power, revvs nicely.....
then...FIVE minutes later when it JUST starts warming up, it feels like it looses 70 HP.....and revvs like it has a 90 LB flywheel.....WTF?....then the car has full power again from 6000 to 7200 RPM....
what i have done: i have another 90 20V parts car that was running perfect until i was rearended....so i know all its parts work...
replaced with working parts/new parts:
-distributor and hall sender in dist.
-cap & rotor
-plugs and wires
-timing belt and waterpump
-coolant temp sensor in the back of the head
-MAF
-radiator and condenser
-whatever temp sensor thats in the bottom of the radiator
-O2 sensor
the car had these symptoms before these parts were instaled......dont think im just throwing $$$ at it as most of the parts were free
compression test as follows:
cyl1 = 210 PSI
cyl2 = 200 PSI
cyl3 = 200 PSI
cyl4 = 210 PSI
cyl5 = 190 PSI
the engine was at full operating temp when performed, and i didnt have time to do a wet test.....the plugs also are new and lookes good when pulled....
HELPPPPP!!!
not run right unless you find the EXACT problem. Have you ohm checked the MTF sensor at the back of the block? Is the speed sensor the exact ohm rating? Anything less than the stated specs and you will start experiencing problems. Have you checked the resistance of the injectors thenselves?
blink codes for MAF, 2 knock sens. codes.....
knock sensors are next on list.....
then thoes 2 sensors @ the back of the block
