New wheels / Suspension question
I just won a set of wheels on eBay... 15x7" BBS RS... this spring I plan on widening them to between 8 and 9" and repainting them (probably going to just repaint gold)...
I'm going to need to lower the car, too, and don't really think I want to spend the money on coilovers so I'm probably going to just do lowering springs... what are you guys w/ aftermarket suspensions running?

uh...what shop do you know of that will make new parts for you? I know of one, and they didn't really want to redesign a part of a set of 3-pc. wheels we bought from them. We DIY'd the design for them even, so we ended up just doing the manufacturing too (wheel center) when they wouldn't do it for us.
If they weren't willing to do such a simple thing as that, then I can't see very many companies be willing to make a new cast/forged piece for you.

Not sure I understand the question...
I'm talking about widening the wheels using wider outer lips, which are available from a number of places. Three friends of mine purchased them for their BBS RMs (the stock 2-pieces from '92 GTI 16v) from Kodiak Motorsports in Canada.

Last time I checked...
...didn't really find any options for coilovers under $1500... to be fair, that was a few years back. That's why I posted on here, to get all the information and get the best I can. I may just end up spending the extra loot to have adjustable height so I still have the same snow-plowing abilities in the 90...
Do you have any links to sites w/ coilover setups? The only one I've seen is 2Bennett's.
