It is $10,000 Australian so not sure if that helps, I only had a quick look at it. It's an auto(blech) non quattro, looks in ok condition. I don't know much about Audis so thought I would ask.

auto transmissions are not that reliable at that milage point

WOW 6686 US grand, that is rediculosu. U can buy 1993 90quattro with half of those miles here in North America.
I would say, skip on this deal:-) Maximum I would give is like a 1US grand for that car (1,495.70 AUD)

Just bought a 1992 80 with 110,000 for $1600 US.
mostly because it has an automatic and the door panels are F#@#@d up.
Maybe in Australia, Audi's go for higher prices. Lot's of "offshore" areas (where everything must be imported) have higher prices.
But that mileage is awfully high. Still, the 5 cyl engines can last forever if properly maintained and they aren't too hard to work on.
