Hood Scoop??
On some euro cars some I've seen, people have cut louvers into the front pass. fender to presumably allow air into the airbox. IMHO the vents are not very well designed and probably aren't very efficient.
Still others on this forum have removed the trim strip below the headlights and above the bumper to allow more air into the stock airbox collector. I've tested this with an air compressor and it makes a huge difference in the amount of airflow to the collector behind the passenger headlight.
I guess it boils down to how much you want for go, and how much you want for show.
I'd rather have a functioning scoop than a S4 badge on my 90... =)
No. 2 NA engine
No. 3 NA engine
No. 4 ugly
I do agree that more air is better, but I think the performance benifits for eveyday driving will not be noticable at all and the ugliness outways any benefit it could give to an NA engine. I do reccomend MikTip's mod though.

It performs FAAAR better than my stock 2.8 12v. Is it worthwhile? Definitely yes.
You can't see the cowl induction from the outside, although it does make the engine a bit louder.
Basically I'm saying you could make the scoop stealthy if you did it right. Do a search for "Cowl induction", I posted about this mod a few weeks ago.

https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/117663.phtml</a
