coupe quattro

Hi! I'm interested in buying a coupe quattro - non turbo, 1990. I would like a few opinions, some information, whatever... Car has over 100k miles - will this be a huge problem? Can anyone give me some useful knowledge? Thanks!

First off...www.20v.org is HUGELY helpful. Buyers guide, repair info, common problems, etc.

I've had no problems with mine that I (or a shop) cause in some way. Well, ok, bad clutch master and slave cyl, new rear brakes, AC fix. Thats really all I've had to do for 70k miles...

Maintenance records or receipts,

Whether or not I am doing the work or someone else, I keep all receipts. If you get a car that has receipts or maintenance records, you can tell what was worked on.

i've gone for not even 10K and had to replace a bunch of stuff.

But i still love my car.

heh...yeah, and its not like I pamper the car either, nor the owner before me.

I did think of one other thing that went wrong, driver side door handle broke early on in ownership.

Now watch, either the 5kq will blow up, or the CQ will when I get it back on the road with the turbo motor in it.

The car is in Findlay actually...And I'm not in C-bus anymore since school started. I'll be there for the game next weekend though. I'll be up in Findlay Oct. 10-13th, engagement pics and maybe some clean-up on the Coupe?
