Default Blinker Mod!

I recently took my instrument cluster out and replaced a buzzer that had a mind of it's own. It would go on intermittenly on it's own. While I was in there I took out the green plastic covers which make the blinker indicators green when flashing. I then took out the red backing from a 5000 cluster. The red backing was behind the trip computer of the 5000, I then cut the red backing to fit the slots of the blinkers. The cluster was put back in the car and tested. RESULTS: The cluster looks fantastic with the red blinkers, the oem red material from the 5k makes the red match the rest of the cluster fantasticly. Along with my 2w bulbs in my cluster it looks great. The only thing I need to fix is the blinkers are a tad bright. I need to find a bulb that is a little less bright. The blinkers have 1.1 or 1.2 bulbs right now. I need to know if there are bulbs that are a little less bright as these..

P.S. Pics are coming soon!

Default Blue....?;-)

Blue, why blue indicators? If you're serious ****** the blue "insert" from this VW Beetle cluster. A freind's parents have a VW 1.8 Turbo Beetle. The LCD display in the middle lights up blue at night. Cut the "insert" and fit it to the blinker slots, takes about 30 minutes to do the whole job if you take your time. Mik would you know the part number of a bulb that has lower wattage than a 1.1w? The indicators are great, just a tad too bright!

VW Cluster

Wrong, that would look half-assed. I thought about this idea but whenever the bulb would blink you would see the bulb and it wouldn't appear as though the arrow as a whole was lighting up. If you would do this route I would get a cloudy plastic of some sort and get some blue bulb covers. That would look decent.

Blue bulb covers
