Help with a jetta

I am working on my freinds 95 2.0L jetta. it won't stay started it will idal for a little while then it dies out when u press the gas? any sugestions? I looked for vac. leaks but i found nothing I need some help i want this damn car out of my garage. Thx

when you give it gas it dies out, first how much gas is in the car and check anything that goes with

the fuel system
