head work
Doing the heads, alone, with no other mods, will yield "minimal gains".
If you port & polish the heads, then you need to P&P the intake manifold. Followed by the throttlebody, and modify everything both upstream(air) and down stream, to gain the maximun effect from your efforts.
Ported heads perform better with a set of cams.
If you do the heads, with no other mods, your wasting your money.
Its all about fuel, fire & air.
Modify components to allow in more air, your raise the fire & fuel. However to allow more air into the engine, it must be made to escape(exhaust) better as well.
See where this is all going?
Plus dont expect any "huge" gains from a "naturally aspirated" engine. You'll be lucky to get 30hp, after spending several thousand dollars! ;o)
Well, the G-60 conversion would not be that easy because of the electronics, but it sounds good!
