I almost got one too, I get a GT once in a while.
I am seriously thinking about selling 90 and getting one of those, but only thing that holds me back is that my 90 is immaculate and I wouldn't know what I am getting in 951. I don't know

944/951's are pretty much like an Audi of the era...I came "this close" to getting a 1987 951. With the amount of time and money I put into the CQ, the 951 would be one scary **** car, similar power levels to the PowerHaus car (but lower, as that car has a 968 16v w/turbo, I'd have kept the 2.5L 8vt engine) with 993 Cup wheels, adj-c/o suspension, suspension goodies, etc. Some days I wish I would have bought that car, as it was the same price as the CQ. Other days, I'm glad I went with AWD. But, I do still have the 5kq, so it wouldn't have mattered that much really.

Heh...You probably don't realize exactly how much $$$$$ I've thrown at the CQ though including purchase. A large percentage of that "wasted" in learning what works and what doesn't, as well as fixing shops' mistakes. Buy an older 951 for 8k, spend 10k to 17k on it, and you'd have a car that absolutely flies.
Of course, you could also buy a nice-bodied B3 quattro, put a 10vt in it, run an 034EFI Stage 1B ECU on it, big brakes, adj-c/o suspension, hybrid turbo, header, larger IC, etc and have a 300+hp AWD car that can be tracked or daily driven year round for slightly less money than the 951.
944S and S2 models are nice as well, 2.7L 16v...
