Default i dont know...dont like the looks of the ebc......

they arent even drilled....."dimpled" and the slots are really wide....

standard slotted rotors, you could feel the slots pass over the pad when you brakes hard...

i like standard drilled...

Default Drilled don't mean best.....

If you are just driving your car on the street, Slotted is the best way to go. The drilled seem to crack during street use.

To date, I have not yet cracked any drilled rotor I have owned.

I've always owned a good "name brand" rotors, like Brembo & Zimmermann.

Its true, drilled rotors can crack, but this is something associated with severe usage, or severe over-heating.

On a street driven car, driven primarily on the street, drilled rotors will do fine.

Place same 4000lb car on a track with OEM sized, drilled rotors, and you might overheat the rotors, and they could crack?

Its not a "guarentee" they will "always" crack, but even non-drilled rotors can crack, if over-stressed. ;O)

Default Should have clarified....

I was talking about using OEM sized rotors. People seem to try to stress them more then stock and they end up cracking. Also, there may be a difference in climate. You obviously don't get snow much...as I got 40" in one night just under a month ago

Default Most problems I hear with drilled rotors are problems with the ones that have been drilled after...

casting. I believe they're stronger if the holes are cast with the rotor... however I don't know much about brakes, so this may not be the case.
