A pretty good buy for someone looking for quattro.
Called the guy - he's in Marshalltown IA. Car's got a rear caliper hanging up a bit and a patched radiator. Interior is worn, but said he's take 1000.00 for it. I almost bit, but then realized I'm working on getting a UrS, have the 80 project in the Garage, a Toyota truck in the driveway and too many other toys in the garage. That's when I realized I have no business buying this. This is my interpretation:
"in fair mechanical shape"
I've neglected it.
"but is still reliable transportation."
It is powered by an Audi "NG" engine.
"I drive it daily and take bi-weekly 80 mile trips with it."
It gets beaten alot.
The front suspention got so bad, I had to redo it. The rear subframe is cracked, the suspention is shot, but it's still drivable--barely.
=)
