New Consumer reports finding...

European cars have fallen behind American cars on reliability.

Maybe it's time to look at that mustang or corvette

I don't buy it ;o)...

I don't know of many american cars with 250k miles on tham that I would feel safe driving from Milwaukee to Boston, like I would with my 90. My first car was a Ford Escort, that car rusted out so badly by 85K miles that the drivers door fell off by the hinges. Are they talking about newer cars? like 2000 year models and newer?

the new models... I have heard alot of griping about the A4's and such...

US consumer =finicky. Euro cars have too many gadgets. Gadgets fail. Consumer complains.

...It's all subjective, ask yourself "what was all the criteria for this analysis?"

"The findings are based on 675,000 responses from Consumer reports Subscribers who were asked last spring if they had any serious mechanical problems between April 2002 and March 2003. So it's only the subscriber's input that was used and not nationally gather data on all cars.
