Got a parking ticket over the weekend...

The person who issued the ticket said that my car was a BMW. Yeah I guess my car looks like a bimmer??

Maybe you were parked by a BMW who was parked illegally...

and he put the ticket on your car...8-)

you don't have to pay it!!!

my mother has a Mini Cooper and was parked in River North in Chicago. Some cop gave her a ticket for something but didn't mark the vehicle for a Make because the Mini was still new around town. My father, I guess, went to court on this and got the ticket cleared because the Make NEEDS to match the car it was assigned to. I'm not sure where you are but this is at least Chicago, Illinois.

Re: I had the same thing happen to me in Boston!!...

..the officer had marked it as a BMW Coupe,,,HA!! I went by the station and they said I could disregard it.

well I am going to give the arguement a try with the court...

the problem is that the lic plate number matches my car. Knowing the Milwaukee parking violations department they are probably going to make me pay anyway, they might reduce the cost of the fine though. That ticket was $50!!
