for a car that is never tracked. Namely my CQ.
Is it a waste of money? Should I just stick with the regular hats for the car?

what is your puprose for wanting drilled rotors. truth be told they only benifit from drilled rotors now, is the 'bling' on my track car, i always run solid rotors, the extra mass aids in temp. contorl. with the brake pad compounds of today, the gas build-up is almost nill. drilling the rotors helped in the 70's, but today is all marketing hype, and looks. for the BEST performance, a good direction vain solid rotor is your best bet.

if you don't track your car, I would say no need for it unless it's for show. If you want mad braking power, you might wanna go the "MikTip" way system but then again if and only if you are planning to track your car..

Why not go with the slotted ones? helps brake pads wear evenly..and cheaper too.. IMO
