I noticed on the 2Bennett site that they sell a Stage 2 Brembo front brake kit for $1980. Would this setup worth the extra $$$?
Since I'll be changing out to the S2 hubs, how necessary is it to change out the wheel bearings? Is it not worth trying to cut costs and reusing my current ones?
Thanks for your help!
Patrick
For pads, just run the factory compounds for now. Also, the 323mm rotor, when used with the 993tt caliper, will cause an imbalance of the braking system. Rears should be upgraded as well, I am looking into this myself.
Roommate just about a pair of lightly used 993C2 calipers for $300, with pads, shipped. You could go that route, with the RS2 carrier, and run a shim to use the lessor expensive calipers with the larger rotors. Wouldn't take much of a shim, 9.5mm thick is all.
993C2 = 911 Carerra 2 (RWD, 270hp), had 304x32 rotors and black calipers. That is what I am using over a 304x32 rotor, and my roommate is using the same caliper over a 330x32 rotor.
