Found a vacuum leak today...

Found a vacuum leak today...
One of the braided hoses which is attached near the firewall, runs into some other hose wich connects to the front of the IM and appears to go into the power steering pump? Couldn't tell from the diagram on the hood what this is for...anybody know?

Sounds like the vacuum lines which help assist your brakes...?
No vacuum lines actually go into the p/s pump, only hydralic fluid lines do. I had a vacuum leak in the area you describe and it effected my brakes in the cold (winter time). The pedal became very stiff until I pushed on it for a few seconds. Very dangerous! The vacuum leak fixed all of this, knock on wood;-0 I thought I had a bad bomb or something of the nature.
