gauge mount project. interest?
ok, so i've bee expirimenting with some sheets of black, textured ABS. i've managed to make a template for a new gauge mount.
it fits in the area where the center vents are now. i have two designs. a modular version that comes in three pieces, each the size of one vent` (designed so you can keep some functionality of the vents), and a version that replaces all three (with vent slots around the gauges so air can still get through) which includes a back piece to circulate the air around the gauges.
the diameter of each mount hole is 2 1/16", so it's the same size as the OEM aux gauges.
i'm working on a way to mount the panels so they can be easily removed again, but right now the install would be semi permanenet, as you'd need to use silicone or something to hold them in.
