well i payed a visit to my lawyer.... things dont look too good... the officer was out of line by arresting me and charging me with this..but there is nothing we can do about it... the only little bit of hope was the distance traveled to where i went to hide from the officer... to refresh your memory, i passed an officer and got spooked about my inspection sticker...so my friend and i drove for about 4 seconds then pulled behind a gas station hoping the cop would pass and just go on with his day... during those 4 seconds, the officer did not turn on his lights and was starting a u-turn... my friend who i was following and continued on moving straight said he looked back and i was already behind the gas station when the officer turned on his lights...the officer arrested me for eludeing and then siezed my car... i am facing jail time and a criminal record for this offense...but the main thing is the distance! since it was only 4 seconds i wasnt attempting to elude..especially since the officer did not have his lights on when i was in view, therefore not giving me any signal to stop... so since there is no law about hiding, i was not doing anything illegal.. now my lawyer has to prove this...we are working hard and i am beyond stressed...after this incident my grandfather had a heart attack then a stroke and my uncle is now about to die of cancer...it has spread to his lungs...my grandfather is doing better, (its amazing...after i got the news my gf and i prayed for him... later that day my dad tells me that morning my grandfather came out of his coma...smiling...able to move all his muscles, breath on his own, and remembers everything!!). here is what i would like to ask you, the members of this forum, to do for me... pray. keep me in your prayers and my family...really tought times right now..and i just need all the help i can get. thank you all for reading this.
