No power when warm

I need some help guys! My 1990 80 4 cyl w/ 170k is in the shop right now and my guy can't figure it out. Starts up cold but when it warms up to the first heat line (on the guage) it totally looses power drops to 200 RPM and runs like crap. I have done the following...

Plugs, wires, cap, roter, fuel filter, fuel pump, new fuel line, cleaned ISV, replaced a hose on the phlemnum (however you spell it) 02 Where I may have stripped a black wire (not sure) and had a mechanic friend play with the air/fuel mixture on the MAF (3mil allen)... I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions. I really want my car back been waiting for new fuel lines for 3 wks =(

Have you checked the crankcase breather tube?

Vacuum leaks? Air filter - air way restricted? When an engine is cold, it draws "manifold air" via the warm air valve. When warmed up, this closes and it has to breathe through the cool air intake.

P.S. Since you are new, if it says "Blangin 80" you can safely ignore it - for the time being...

Take an angle grinder and cut some rectangles in the floor. Then to help the car get moving, just stick your feet down there and start running, Fred Flintstone style.

4 cyl engine needs all the help it can get.

Re: You don't want to 'play' with the adjustment on a CIS...

...you need to get the proper VAG equipment. And the adjustment is pretty damn sensitive (a little turn changes a lot). Look into a competant Audi mechanic in your area and let them take a look. Good luck.

Ya, got the Blangin 80 thing a little late

Anyway, idle weak warm and undrivable. I'll pass on what you said and I really appreciate the help. Will get pics if and when drivable

Doesn't have 200hp =(
