Default Doing my brakes

I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions regarding the brakes on my 1993 90. I am going to take off all 4 calipers to do some work to them. I need to know what to do with the brake lines once i get the calipers off so I dont get brake fluid everywhere. Can I just elevate them and the fluid will stop coming out, or do I have to crimp them?
Last I have never bled brake lines before and I am going to have to do it when I put the calipers back on. I hear it is not that hard( in fact I hear it is childs play) can anyone give me some instructions on how to bleed brake lines?

The fluid will come out until the pressure has equalized on both sides. Since the open lines are lower than the reservoir, you will drain out most of the fluid. Not necessarily a bad thing, as you can now put new fluid into the system (for a cheap, easy to find good fluid, get some Ford HD DOT4 fluid for their trucks, pretty good wet and dry boil points for an OE fluid!).

Don't forget, the rear caliper pistons must be turned and pushed into the caliper body, not just pushed. This is due to the e-brake mechanism...

Default If you are just replacing the pads and rotors why disconnect?

Just hang them somewhere or support them securely.
Don't let them hang by the lines.

Are you going disassemble your calipers? Have you done this before?

OK, I poasted some pictures on my profile of two extra caliper and carrier sets (rear) that I have cleand up and Primed 4 painting. I figure it will be east that way as I can just swap them quick time. There is an major issue that I need help with however. The rear left (drivers) caliper and roter are the correct part and will fit. The possiable problem is with thr rear right set(passenger side). The carrier is from a 1988 B3 90 (my car is a 1993 B4 90) and the caliper is from the rear right of some Passat I saw at the scrappers. The carrier seems to be a exact match and the caliper looks good to me except for the bleeder screw and brake line input are in diff places? (see the pics, as im shure they will explaine much better) will the rear right set fit???
