Unfortunately all the pressure plates I had handy, RS2 and RS4 failed to work with the 7A flywheel on the AAN motor. After some discussion it seemed the best way to go was with a stock 7A pressure plate even at 380bhp. Wanted it by the weekend so off to the partsbin to give them a shot once again. What arrives today, the standard NG pressure plate, sigh. It's not the same unit as the 7A, not as much clamping force, so once again wrong parts. Luckily I decided to go with a SPEC alu flywheel today which won't be in until next week, so I've got a week to get the proper 7A pressure plate. Anyone had this issue with The Parts Bin?
I've got to hand it to Rod over at The Parts Connection, not once in thousands of dollars of parts purchased has he ever made a mistake! It's unfortunate he's so far away, a full week for parts and hefty shipping costs to the east for heavy bits, sigh.
Anyone have a good source on the east coast for OEM parts at reasonable cost with quick delivery? BFCP doesn't do it for me out here either, Beck Arnley dealer.
TIA!
i have also found that alot of the online sites I think are actually the same parent company for they use the same warehouse on the east coast out of nj...it all depends on how cheap each site can or wants to sell the parts for.
thepartsbin.com,bestforeignparts.com,audicarparts. com and (defunct) megaparts.com all seemed to use the same warehouse. so far audicarparts is the cheapest....with importpartsauthority.com close on select items. try those and save money
