Default thepartsbin.com...

Howdy! Anyone had issues with these guys sending the wrong parts repeatedly? Did a quick emergency order for a belt and t-stat on the old motor for the 90 a few months ago, parts always arrive in one day, but find it's the wrong size belt and an 87C thermostat when I specifically ordered the OE temp thermostat. I sucked it up and used the bits due to time constraints.

Unfortunately all the pressure plates I had handy, RS2 and RS4 failed to work with the 7A flywheel on the AAN motor. After some discussion it seemed the best way to go was with a stock 7A pressure plate even at 380bhp. Wanted it by the weekend so off to the partsbin to give them a shot once again. What arrives today, the standard NG pressure plate, sigh. It's not the same unit as the 7A, not as much clamping force, so once again wrong parts. Luckily I decided to go with a SPEC alu flywheel today which won't be in until next week, so I've got a week to get the proper 7A pressure plate. Anyone had this issue with The Parts Bin?

I've got to hand it to Rod over at The Parts Connection, not once in thousands of dollars of parts purchased has he ever made a mistake! It's unfortunate he's so far away, a full week for parts and hefty shipping costs to the east for heavy bits, sigh.

Anyone have a good source on the east coast for OEM parts at reasonable cost with quick delivery? BFCP doesn't do it for me out here either, Beck Arnley dealer.

TIA!

Default found a cheaper place

i have ordered from the parts bin before and my parts always showed up quickly and correctly but.....i have found a site called audiparts.com that sells exactly the same thing for less.
i have also found that alot of the online sites I think are actually the same parent company for they use the same warehouse on the east coast out of nj...it all depends on how cheap each site can or wants to sell the parts for.
thepartsbin.com,bestforeignparts.com,audicarparts. com and (defunct) megaparts.com all seemed to use the same warehouse. so far audicarparts is the cheapest....with importpartsauthority.com close on select items. try those and save money

Default They are all Worldpac companies, same supplier, but different fronts...

and they also list the wrong Sachs P/N for the 20v models. This is due to the Worldpac search/catalog obviously, it's the wrong P/N for the 20v models and I'd bet if I ordered from any of those companies the wrong part would have arrived. So I guess Parts Bin isn't entirely at fault here, it's the catalog or Worldpac, but still a good parts retailer should know about what they sell.

Thanks,

Default I have ordered a bunch of stuff from them...

So far they have screwed up 2 of my orders. For the amount of stuff that I ordered from them I guess that is not too bad. I mean we are only human, and with a company that big mistakes are bound to happen once in a while.
