Found the press packet on the Spyder...
Kerb was around 1100 kilos, powered by an AAH code 12v. 0-100km/h was expected to be under 6 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h.
1.17m high
1.77m wide
4.22m long
2.54m wheelbase
1.55m front track
1.58m rear track
48/52 F/R weight distribution
18x7" wheels w/205/55-18 tires
Targa type roof (w/solar panel to power an interior blower while the car is switched off, sound familiar?)!
Aluminum tube frame with aluminum body.
Front suspension was double control arm, rear suspension was a 4-joint trap. arm w/transverse links (I think it was lifted from the Type44/4A wagons, as they had a fairly compact suspension, and I know that the Spyder's rear components were lifted right from the assembly line). Center diff was a TorSen. Mid-engine (transverse) layout.
I think that is all the major stuff? When I get a chance, I'll try to scan some stuff and stick it online. Ditto for the AVUS ("Eine Studie in Aluminium").
