Anybody know why there is an opening like that in an RS2 undertray?

High power cars run at higher oil temps = more cooling vents

In a cramped engine bay such as that, I'd say that is what its there for.

If that was the case, they'd run an NACA duct under there, just like the did with the UrQ.
