Default 18" wheels on a CQ question...

I see that a few CQ owners out there are running 18's. My wife has a set of Toora Canorally's (http://www.supremepower.com/category/wheels/wheels-toora.html) in an 18x8 size (don't know the offset). If I wanted to use them, would I need to roll the fenders or do anything else special? Currently the car is at a stock height, but there are plans to lower it ~1.5" in the future. I've read about the potential problems of wheel bending b/c of the small sidewall, but besides that are there any other issues/concerns?

Gotta be real careful using 18's. It's a science to get it right.

Hubs are on sale @ Europrice, cheapest they will ever get with the exchange rate getting worse.

Default Planning to get the S2 hubs from Alex...

Just wanted to know how I could use my wife's 18" wheels after the conversion is done. If I can't use her 18's, then I just take her 17" S4 Avus's which I know will work.

So, do fenders need to be rolled to use 18's or can I just put them on with the right tire size?

Default I think you will jsut have to play it by ear, or get out and do some calculations...

liek what ET, tire size, wheel width will work. But to know if they will fit, find the ET of them, then post again.

Default Find out the offset...

If it is right around 35-37mm, you'll be OK. You'd run a 245/35-18 tire on it too. Should just fit. That WILL rub with the stock suspension, just to let you know (225/50-16's rubbed slightly on my car w/stock suspension). With stiffer springs and firmer shocks, it should be fine. If you wanted added clearance, a 235/35-18 would also work if the tire is approved for an 8" wheel, slightly narrower, slightly shorter, so less of a chance to hit something (especially with the uber-soft factory suspension).

I'll be trying to run 245/45-16's for track sessions after I use up the 225/50-16's currently on the track wheels.

Default ET 35 for the Toora Canorallys.

18x8 wheel. What is the Min/Max ET offset I can use on the CQ?
