Fumoto drain valve and AFC engine
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/36781/dsc00293.jpg"></center><p>I installed the Fumoto drain valve on my '95 90S, engine code AFC. Fit perfect - which is great since the threads on my oil pan were getting bad. No cleanance problem with the underside cover.
When I originally ordered the valve for a '95 90S V6, they sent me a larger valve apparently for the AAH engine. When I called them, they immediately sent out the smaller one for a '96-'97 A4, part #F-106. It's a 14mm. They didn't even ask for the 22mm valve to be returned. I was impressed by them. I'm going to call and offer to send the larger one back, but if they tell me not to worry, I'll offer it up in a couple of days. (PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME NOTES ASKING FOR IT YET!!!!)
I also pulled out the MAF meter. First time that I'm aware it's ever been out. It looked perfectly clean, like it was brand new. I cleaned it anyway, but I don't expect much impact. My last two tankfuls have been 27.2 and 27.1 mpg, so it will be interesting to see if it stays up there now that summer is coming - it was 82 yesterday here. (I took the kids to the beach yesterday with intent to get pictures of my car for a signature. Didn't get any car pics, but got some great beach pictures.)
