Bad experience with a dump truck and a large (6 inches around) rock
The rock fell out on the road, I had people to the left of me and a curb on the right. So I had to run it over ... and now there's a HUGE dent in my driver's side cat. It also looks like the rock hit my rear axel, but I don't see any visible damage there. Hopefully the dented cat won't need to be fixed, but it looks like someone took a mallet to it.

at least the rock wasn't rolling and bouncing toward your grille/radiator or windshield!
On a road trip a few years back, a freaking hawk flew down and went right through the grille and busted the radiator...I was about 800 miles from home... The hood was repaired and that's when i bought my Kamei grille! Talk about a huge mess, though...

Def shoulda reported it...was the truck bed covered?...
...if not, it has to be..at least in MD.
If the kitty isn't rattling in the next few days...it should be fine. If it was dented in the front portion, odds are the ceramic honeycomb is still intact.
PS - I got my cracked windshield the same way up in NE...bastids!!
