CQ: Outside Temp reading shows 11 Fah/ -11 Cel - bad sensor?

CQ: Outside Temp reading shows 11 Fah/ -11 Cel - bad sensor?

My A/C doesn't seem to working anymore and the outside temp gauge button always shows 11 degrees Fah/ -11 degrees Cel. Is my temperature sensor/sender bad? If so, what part(s) and part numbers will I need? Also, the best places to buy these pieces from. Thanks!

The sensor is attached to the back of the grille.

Check to see if there is a break in the wire and the such.

go to 20v.org

on that website under, problem/fixes and under the climate control section there are fault codes and sensor values that you can pull on the sensors.

There are two one near the grill and one near the air intake for the interior.

Just follow the directions.

thanks, I always forget to look at that site before posting.

I'll check the resistors (hopefully, that's the problem and it will be a $2 fix).

actually an even cheaper fix is to just pull one of the sensors

The engine bay has two sensors and will always read off the of the lower temperature one. If one is reading -10C and the other is 23C, then the -10C gets used. If you unplug the -10C one then the 23C is used.
