Painted inner tail lights. Anybody ever had that idea or seen pics of it done?

Default Painted inner tail lights. Anybody ever had that idea or seen pics of it done?
Preferably filling the seems to make it look like one piece. Yeah, gotta figure out different backup lights but that'll be NP.

Here's what my car might look like with grey primer.

I just may do this so I need some people to talk me out of it.
