Instrument cluster compatibility

I've had an '88 90 (fwd) for about a month, working out various basics with my dad mechanically (new fuel pump, fuel filter, injector cleaner, oil and filter change, fixed sunroof and radio fuse), but the instrument cluster has been bad on us since we bought it. The center lamp(s) and left speedo lamp are out, the speedometer, odometer, and tripometer aren't working, but if hit enough (my road conditions or by hand), some of the lights and speedo have been known to function temporarily. The tac, center lights and display, temp and fuel guages all work fine. Dad says its bad, and we haven't found any busted fuses(or possibly the right fuses), so I've found another candidate.

The question: will a '93 90 cluster function fine in an 88? I know the appear the same exterally but are there any changes needed and differences to be worried about? I'm not sure, and there are others of like year out there, but the price and moment are right for the 93 cluster. Any comments are highly welcomed. Thanks

Yes & No.

Yes, if it will plug in, the connectors on the back. No as some B3's have 120mph speedo's and the tach from the 93 90, is calibrated for a V6 motor. B4 Speedo is 160mph.
