I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a set of Hockenheims...advice requested

I'm probably going to resign from my job at the end of the year and have little or no income for the next 12-18 months, so I figure I better make my hay while the sun is shining, as they say.

My question to you is...16x7.5 or 17x8 wheels, and what size tire?

Please post your wheel and tire size and any suggestions you might have. Keep in mind I have a 95 90 quattro, with stock, non-sport suspension (although I have a set of '1BE' sport springs I plan to install in the spring).

Don't buy TSW wheels....they are terribly soft
