Nankang tires, avoid if you can.
I had a set of Nankang 225/50 16's removed off of the Competition rims(7jX16)today. The performance of these tires was awful. Yes it could have been the tire/rim combonation that produced negative results since this tire was probably too wide for this rim. These tires would not balance-ever. I was told at one point that all four of my rims were bent because of the balancing issue. These tires were noisy and caused the car to vibrate at various speeds. Cornering was poor, it seemed as if the side wall was bending or giving way under the stress. I am glad these are off my car!

yes indeed they did, they had a lot of tread on them so....
it was hard to justify taking them off right away. I put almost 30k miles on them and they hardly wore down! I could have driven them more, they were not down to the wear bars yet, but I could not tolerate the incredibly poor performance any longer.
