Anyone have experience changing the backlight color of an alpine head unit?
The green has already gotten on my nerves after 1 night. The sony matched my interior lights almost perfectly.
The HU doesn't have a color change button. I was thinking of opening it up and manually changing hte bulbs or whatever is in there.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/80971/crap_pic.jpg"></center><p>i had an older alpine head which i couldnt stand, and all i did was scrape the green paint off of some led's and coat them with red nail polish. its really gangsta, but if you spend enough time to perfect it, youll get a nice result. the problem is that without taking the faceplate apart multiple times, you may end up with some buttons darker red than others. also, a few buttons on my alpine head were a transparent plastic in whole, and they had a green tint. no matter how many coats of nail polish, red + green = pink. DOH. as far as digital displays go, i heard you can change the quartz or whatever.
