Stock sport suspension is 20mm lower on the B4...

according to my sources. I think this would warrant getting Bilstein Sports instead of the HD's. It would explain my bottoming out problem, and death of the HD.

After a search, it looks like A4 guys do the sport spring/B. Sport setup for a moderate upgrade. A4 sport is also 20mm lowered.

Anyway, just a thought.

Fronts will work, regardless of drivetrain...

rears are a different story.

uhoh......

i have the stock sport on my b4q and have HD's waiting to go in, did i goof? I probably could exchange them for a few bucks since they are still in the box. I had a chat with a bilstein tech and he told me the valving for the sport vs HD is exactly the same, just that the sports are designed for lowered springs. if the stock b4q automatically has lowered springs vs non factory sport, then bilstein sports would be the perfect fit.I do recall asking him if HD's would be fine and he said they would, but maybe I didnt explain about the factory sport setup. crap.....
