just buy the 068-115-561-B at the dealership

dealer cost on them is like $4.50... so they are still pretty cheap to buy over the counter... they fit the V6 and they are huge in comparison to the 06A and 078 filters.

yes, but according to 12v.org only if you have a pre-95 90

that's the <b>smaller</b> filter, for use if your VIN ends in 8C_S_025820 or earlier

I run the larger filter on my 1993. Ran the larger on my 86 Coupe.

I don't disagree with your experience using the larger filter

but these are the smaller filters, which I wouldn't use on my '95.

LOL! I've seen Audi Dealerships install the smaller filters on 95+ Audi's! ;O)

It was not too long ago, when Audi switched to the larger filter. Before that time, Audi ran the smaller. So basically you could run either. But, would benifit more from running the larger.

Before Audi switched to the larger filter, we would argue the benifits of running the larger.
Now everyone excepts it as gospel, since Audi made it so. ;O)
