Stereo whine fix...

My stereo emits a whining sound as I accelerate. I read on 12v.org that this can be fixed, but it doesn't list how. Does anyone know? BTW, this is an aftermarket deck, and I did not rewire the rear speakers, I used a PAC2-OEM converter. Which I was orginially thinking was the problem, until I ran across that on 12v.org. Thanks!

Whine is usually caused by a power wire too close to a speaker wire or not crossing them at 90...

...degree angles.

Also make sure that you have the input trim set to the correct voltage referance

Check the manual for your stereo - i'm assuming it's aftermarket here. Ususally the outputs are between 3 and 5 volt. Set the input on your amp to this level and things will get a lot quieter. Those input trims are NOT meant to be volume adjusters.
