Engine codes: My diagnosis.... whatcha think?
Well, thanks to the forum, I realized that I was missing a code:
It's throwing 2331, and 2341, which are both the left and right 2nd O2 sensors. My exhaust leak was just on the passenger's side, so this is what I think happened -- is this possible:
The exhaust leak caused the pass. O2 sensor to measure lean (HUGE crack, big leak), dumping a ton more fuel into the engine, which eventually threw a light because it thought it was too lean.
Now, the leak is fixed and I still have the light come on when I come to a stop after travelling at speed for a minute or so. Idle is also a bit rough.
So... could the extra fuel have fouled the spark plugs, and now that's why the light's staying on?
It's due for a plug/wire replacement in the next 1500 miles. I don't know when the O2 sensors were last replaced...
