On a trip to Albuquerque in July of last summer I got 28 MPG, about 22-24 MPG with the A/C on...
I have since put over 15k mi on the car, in which time the mileage has started to decay. About 20-21 MPG city, 24-25 highway, 22-23 combined.
So unless you can refute this "Stay out of my posts". ;o)

Driving like a granny, I can get about 28-29 on highway. But....
That's not going much over 70mph. Normal everyday driving, probably about 25. (I've been experimenting.) My question is...okay, my 02 sensor might need replacing. It's probably original - 176K miles on my 10v '91 90. There's just one on my car right? But would I gain an appreciable increase in gas mileage? Of course, it probably makes sense with gas prices creeping up towards the $3 mark, right?

I hope i can bang out atleast 26mpg...
o2's are tricky........in that sense bosch notes you should replace them either 60k single wire or 90k triples. mine are original with 112k so they are over the marker but I really do not have any problems and there is no check engine light coming on.
replacing them might open my eyes with more power, quicker response etc.
only problem is the v6's are tricky to get at, atleast the driver side. even using a o2 socket the left not a problem but the right is so close to the metal main water pipe that it hits.
when i had my car at a garage even they could not break it free so as of now its solid on there.
worst case, the whole downpipe would have to come off and one massive breaker bar to get it free.
