I'll be VERY surprised if Audi ever makes a new car that weighs 2600 lbs...
Nav systems, MMI, HID and LED circuitry, power everything, lots of sound insulation, etc. ad nauseum all add weight. Where are they going to lose over 600 lbs from the TT? Even if you drop quattro you still have to lose over 300 more lbs. Just sayin', the way the company is headed (luxury luxury luxury) I don't see any M3 LTWs headed our way.

Aren't they already using a good bit of aluminum (hood, fenders) on the TT?...
Didn't mean to start a big dealio, I just would personally rather see them focus on making a fast A4 (A5?) Coupe. There are lots of cute little toys running around already, I want a badass Cq replacement.

Alu frame? I'd hate to break it to you but that A5 won't be anywhere near light...
not that CQ's are light either, but still. I'm not looking for CQ replacement but for something nice and a bit more civil for street driving.
