Just picked up some B3 H4/H1 housings for the coupe... Bulb question.
<center><img src="http://www.autoteile-blinker.de/images/artikel/0817275.jpg"></center><p>I seem to have a set of housings with no bulbs. Now, the standard Osram halogen bulbs have always served me very well. Is there any reason to "upgrade" to silverstars or likewise any "high performance" halogen or claimed xenon bulbs?
I have the chance to try something new right now... any suggestions or do i just stick by the old tried and true Osram/Hella H4's and H1's.
BTW I'm going with 55/80 H4's and 110w H1's or somewhere in that range. Also, Don't like HID unless they're in a projector housing so that is out.

Those sound fine... Just throw some relays on them!
I've used 'Xtravision' bulbs before... oe wattage, slightly whiter (most definitely not blue), and a bit brighter... but I find that especially with good H4 housings, that you don't need fancy bulbs, cause the optics are high quality.
