1990 audi 90 in need of motor
They can be found around places like Motorgeek forums, Audifans classifieds, or on autotrader from the right vehicle:
- 1991 Audi 200, quattro w/ manual tranny
or UrS4, UrS6 models. -All of which are becoming increasingly rare.
034EFI has developed a kit to turbo the N/A 20v, that might be the easiest way.
It's an expensive endeavor.
-It's an NG 10vt block + 20v head, but you still need the proper intake/exhaust manifolds + throttle body etc. You have to be pretty motivated for this one, as well as creative to work it out. Jim Greens is a 7A conversion(IINM).
My long block AAN was $2700, with 89k miles and included the ECU and full uncut harness, all accessories and the intercooler + crossover pipe.
I thought it was a good deal, especially since I didn't have to ship it.
I also recently bought a (necessary) S2 downpipe for $240 shipped and expect to spend another $1000 or so on parts just to get it going.
* Heater Core (might as well while the dash is out)
* Head gasket / Upper / Lower gasket set
* TB/WP/Idle Pulley/thermostat
* Head Bolts
* Crank Rod hardware
* Intercooler / tubing etc (AAN IC won't suffice)
* Tank/Flux (this weekend hopefully)
-I hear this continuous cha-ching sound when I dream...
hopefully after that I can start with the real goodies.
