Any hope of finding this "RS2" front sway bar I've heard about? Any aftermarket possibilities?

Default Any hope of finding this "RS2" front sway bar I've heard about? Any aftermarket possibilities?

I'm newish to Audi's (and honestly I'm a BMW enthusiast), so bear with me. I've got a black/black 95 90 quattro sport with cloth interior and spoiler delete (apparently somewhat rare combo on the sport I heard, but I don't know?). The car is my daily driver (and it is great!), but my dedicated race BMW will be down for awhile due to installation of go-fast parts. :-)

Trying to prep my 90 for SCCA Solo2 stock class action. The car was run, very successfully, by the previous owner, but I want to get every ounce of speed out of it.

The car is pretty much setup to the limits of the class (adjustable Koni's, exhaust, light wheels, R-tires), but I want to experiment some more. Mostly, all I can work with at this point are tire pressures, shock and the limited alignment settings I can change with OEM parts in place. The car is so heavy (relative to the competition), I just set the shocks full stiff.

A front sway bar upgrade is allowed. I compete against Mini's, which have almost no body roll. I need better control of the weight transfer of the car, especially up front. I think a bigger front bar will help a lot (I would then compensate for the understeer with revalved rear shocks and tire psi).

Long story short, I would like to get one of these RS2 bars! Did a search, found a little info, but not much insight as to a part # or vendor that might have/get ahold of one. There doesn't seem to be any aftermarket for the car besides some cosmetic stuff, but maybe I missed something? I'm willing to buy a front/rear set to get a bigger front bar. Are there any other swap possibilities, like from an A4 maybe? Any help is appreciated!

Default Spoiler delete is not rare...those that have spoilers in '95 are rare...

...even more rare if it's the fiberglass 4-post over the aluminum 2-post...most, if not all '95s don't have spoilers, those that do were typically installed by the dealers (or aftermarket)...

RS2 parts are becoming more and more rare, especially state-side...as all of the companies that imported parts here have since gone out of business or stopped carrying parts for the older cars...

Default don't suppose you are allowed to change the rear swaybar? I think you'd benefit more from a larger

rear bar, and thus a more balanced suspension set-up.... rather than a WAY oversized bar up front & relatively nothing in the rear. These cars are nose-heavy understeering pigs, there's no doubt. I have spent a lot of time & money towards neutralizing the handling of my B4. It has been achieved mostly in part to coilovers, but yet the car still isn't how I'd like it. I have an RS2 front bar that will hopefully materialize before I die, but I've also seriously considered installing a larger Neuspeed rear bar made for a B5 A4q. I think if I leave the front end alone, and just add this large rear bar I should be able to have a slightly tail-happy Audi; which would be awesome. A bigger power plant would also help lots.

Default Correct, front bar allowed only...

...strange rules, but that is the case. I can setup and make the car handle how I want (been autocrossing for a long time), would like to have more setup options (thus the desire for the front bar).

I got mine from Europrice, but they are out of the B4 business. Maybe email/call them anyway.

It's not strange. Stock cars understeer and they're trying to limit the ways you can fix that.

Default Do the 95's lack the "90" badge as well?

I've just got the Quattro badge on the trunk, and some Audi Motorsports stickers in the rear quarter panel windows.

Default Actually, that rule was implemented because...

...a specific, popular car (back in the day) was having issues on course. It is strange in the sense they would even have such a rule in "Stock" class. Anyhow, this is a bit off topic, and I can go over to sccaforums and read all the ongoing debates over stock class rules! :-)
