Default Would a 225/50/16 work on a 16x7.5" wheel w/33mm offset on a FWD B4 without rubbing?

Tire calculator says it needs an additional 6mm inward...

Default it will probably not rub too much

after spaces, etc I am at 30et and running 225/45/17 on 17x8" wheels in the front I get minimal if any at all rubbing. In the back is a different story but you must remember I am lowered as well. I need spacers with the aftermarket wheel's offset at 45 becuase it was SO close to the tie-rod it scared me. I couldn't even squeeze a finger tip thru the gap. So I put 15mm spacers on. The rear H&R spacers I bought had to be modified to fit the rear FWD hub but it works well and makes the car look great.

Default But an 8" ET30 wheel will sit further (?) in than a 7.5" ET33 wheel, right?

Since it's a wider wheel?

an 8" 30ET wheel would stick further out than a 7.5 33

Default Wouldn't it also require slightly more inward clearance too? ET30 to ET33 is only 3mm...but the...

...wheel is .5" wider...

Default Exactly my point...just trying to figure out if I'd really need spacers or not for 7.5" wheels...

...also, were you still up for that heated seat switch swap?

Default well TECHNICALLY

the offset does not change, it just gives the appearance of that affect in my situation. The wheels I have are 8" ET45. Too close for comfort ESPECIALLY with a 235 wide tire. So I slap some 15mm spacers giving the affect of having a 35 or better spaced center wheel bore, so the actually wheel itself is not offset any more, its just the the hub portion inwards thinks it is.

Default Ah, well, I get what you're saying, but if there were an ET30 8" wheel and an ET33 7.5" wheel...

...then they would be different and would sit differently because of offset and width...
