Going to the GF's today i noticed my headlights did not come on....
All the other lights work fine, side and fog are both on, just both headlights are out. The high beams still work, and i have checked all the fuses under the hood and they are all fine. Thoughts on what might cause this? hard to believe both headlights went out at the same time.

thanks, easy to fix? should i have an extra switch with me? the car is my daily driver so ...
i can't have it off the road for more than a day, and i want to have everything I'll need already with me.

headlight switch is in the column for the headlight/cruise/etc
wheel needs to come of. Top cover and bottom column covers come off. Switch is attached to the bottom cover. Not too complicated and no, you do not usually have to keep one with you, they don't go out that often.
