B4 Goodridge SS line kit: thread shorter than OEM ????
Althought the OEM thread is not fully engaged in the caliper, I'll have to make more test...
Anyone have used GoogRidge SS line kit for a B4 Quattro ?
Its not related to Goodridge in any way. Simply the type end-fittings available with "dash-series" taper fittings.
But if you'd prefer more gap than necessary or needed once they're sealed you might take it up with Goodridge, see if they can match your stock gaps with a little longer end fitting.
Tho like a dog chasin a car I dont know what you'd do with more gap if you caught it.
Gimme a few mins and I'll check my brake line assembling parts inventory and we'll do a thread count to see how close yours are compared to what I'm using.
on all the fittings I have in stock and that I use to make my own brake lines. Fraggola stainless, Earl's, AeroQuip and Parker pieces are represented in pic and all share the identical 12mm length. In fact ALL aftermarket fittings I have in inventory are 12mm long between "face" of hex and tip of sealing taper.
It would also appear by doing a scaling interpolation of your pic that your's are likely the correct length also given the fittings are a "known" M10x1mm thread pitch. And they scale out in pic to measure 20% longer than they are wide, ie; 10mm x 20% = 2mm, 2mm + 10mm = 12mm length.

If there is indeed a leak "in between" might be worst as the salt/dirty will stay there and never be washed away.
