Default I hate to have to ask (xenon question)

I read the tech article about installation. I've got a 2001.5. It's got H7's obviously, and I was wondering of there was anyway around cutting the housing? Also, I got the SPP 6000k kit and the directions are in some form of broken english, and for a universal install. There is nothing specific related to the A4. Is this truely plug and play? I'm seeing the use of dremels and drills. Any help would be appreciated.

Default the only good way to do it is to cut the bottom of the housing.

OEM hid's have a rectangular cutout in the bottom
as well if that makes you feel any better.

Default he could mount the ballasts outside somewhere other than

beneath the housings, and drill a hole through the back cover of the low beam back cover. And fill in teh space with a rubber gromet.

Default but he doesn't want to drill into the housing.

and he'd have to run the power lead from the low beam
wires in the housing to the ballast...

frankly, I'd rather cut a small hole in the bottom
of the housing and do it the way the factory did
it on OEM HID's...

which is what I did on Tank.

it was a pretty damn clean install.

=)

Default I dont know about SPP's kit but ...

The kit I got recommended cutting a 23mm hole to route the new wires from the bulb to the ballast. I just squeezed the cover on over the wires instead of cutting. Simple and effective and no modifications required.
