Why does the Bentley manual say 105k for timing belt change?

Default yes, that is what past (and often painful) experience has taught us, but...
it hasn't taught Audi anything so their recommended change interval (and Bentley just repeats it) is still 105K.

Default Lets not forget that it is a rubber belt and not a chain.
The manual should say 90K not 105K. It is not a cheap thing to fix when it breaks, since the valves will slap the pistons when that belt breaks.
