Default Please Help: Advice needed

On a used car webpage, I found a 2001 A4, supposedly in perfect condition with only 19,000 miles on it for $11,000. The Kelly blue book price is around $26,000. The guy that wants to sell me the car says, "I can`t call you, or you to call me
>because i have some auditive problems."

Moreover, this guy is located in Washington and says, "If you want to buy it, you have to send the money to an escrow company, i will shipp the car to you, you will have 7 day`s to test itm and then ou will release the money from the escow, or you will ship it back,"

This deal seems way to good to be true.

I am so inexperienced when it comes to buying used cars. Every car I have bought has been new, and I have mastered the art of bargaining for a new car. But for a used car, I think I would be naive to believe this guy (how could someone cut 15k off of KBB if it hasn't been in an accident?). Anyways, I BEG you Audi lovers to give me some advice. Should I buy or forget about the deal?

Thank you so much.

Default Something is definatly wrong with that car....

Did you ask if it was a salvage title? That would be the only way it could be so cheap. Only way I would go through with the deal is to make absolutly certain it has a clear title and do a very very close inspection of everything on the car...have a good mechanic also do a very close inspection before buying. Dont even consider getting this car without seeing it, and if he wont let you see it just let this one go. Something is definatly wrong with that price on a clear title 2001 A4

The seller says that I can ship the car back if I am not satisfied with it. I don't know how much it would cost to ship it from Los Angeles to Washington but do you think that makes any difference? Should I just walk away?

I don't know a person in Washington, and there's no way I can get there. I have the VIN and the seller's guarantee that I can ship it back. That's it.

Default Where was the car listed?

I would not put the money out anywhere without seeing the car first, even to an escrow. Unless you have friends in Washington that can inspect it with a mechanic before it gets shipped then I wouldnt bother. Its not worth the risk of getting horribly ripped off. It could be the deal of the century but personally I would not do this. Too much money, too risky, and stuff already sounds fishy about not talking on the phone. My vote- walk away.
