How do you Rewire the SPP xenon kit so you don't use the relay? Pics? Better than running the relay?
it is well known that under steady state, HID runs more effciently than the halogen (35 watt compare to halogen 55 watt). However, the design of the hid requires a voltage spark/jump when you turn on the headlight-switch leading to the ignition of the xenon ballast. It will draw a lot of current when being turn on for the first one or two seconds. Then it will go down and become steady state (flat curve).
Your OEM switch is not designed to handle such jump. In the long run, bypassing the relay will cost you your switch. Looking at 350 dollars, mostly labor as installing new switch requires steering removal, air bag disabling, bla bla.
Hope this helps.
Piece of advice, dont do without relay
